A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go….

cats-squirrel1(web)We were sitting in the office with the door open enjoying the smell of spring rain when we noticed the kitties quite intent on something outside.   Then Ganache started chattering and Marzipan kept creeping closer to the screen.

What’s out there that’s so interesting?

For a while the squirrel was sitting on the deck just looking at the cats.  He made quite a show of fluffing up his tail for them.  When he climbed onto the bird feeder right above where he’s sitting in the picture, DH went outside and shooed him away.  Boy were the kitties annoyed!  “But Daddy, we wanted to play with it!”  Too funny!

  1. Why don’t you open the door and see what happens? 🙂 We let Gingy out into the back yard & he really feels like a “fearless hunter”. LOL!

  2. LOL Ours do the same thing with birds, butterflies, moths or anything they can’t get to. They are the funniest things to watch once the “fearless hunter” starts kicking in. 🙂

  3. Oh my word, they have gotten so big. They are so fun to watch.

  4. The one on the left is very similar to ours. We have a bird feeder in our window and the screen is a light filter also. so, when she sits on the window sill just inches away from the feeder, the birds can’t see her and she so enjoys the entertainment they give her. She gets mad when the squirrel shows up and usually shoo’s him away.
Thank you for sharing your awesome pictures.

  5. OMG!!!! they are getting soooooooo big! Thanks for sharing that pic!
